Kr’Bee Apitourism is a brand for an idea that we began to concretely realize during the COVID-19 pandemic, after many years of hidden desires. To live, create, and do everything we love and excel at. To live somewhere where time has stood still, where nature is still unspoiled, and where people are still genuine and warm. Uroš, a passionate beekeeper, apitherapist, and a man of many talents and skills. Leona, a devoted educator, theater creator, and a woman full of ideas.
We sold everything we had in Gorenjska and in Prlekija, specifically in Moravci in Slovenske Gorice, and bought an estate on a hill, very close to the Bio Terme Mala Nedelja.
The core idea of our shared dreams has manifested into an intimate, boutique apitourism. We collaborated with a young team of architects who prepared a wonderful plan based on our suggestions and wishes.
Our guests stay on the estate at the edge of the forest, on a hill, behind our home, in charming houses that are a combination of traditional Pannonian architecture and modern style. There are six houses for accommodation, each equipped as an apartment for four guests (or a family of five). In most of the houses, we have integrated three bee families. During their stay, guests experience the microclimate of a beehive, which is currently unique in Slovenia.

The seventh house is an apitherapeutic beehive. In it, guests relax to the healing sounds of bees buzzing, inhaling healing aerosols, and the scents of honey and propolis. Next year, they will be able to enjoy honey massages, but they can already try honey products and get to know the wonderful world of bees.
The eighth house is a reception area for guests, which also includes a small shop. Here, bee products that we produce with the help of our bees are available. Near the reception, we will set up a structure similar to a corn shed next year, where visitors can rent bicycles. The unspoiled nature of Prlekija offers its guests 135 kilometers of variously challenging and thematically colored cycling paths. Therefore, cyclists are welcome here. Wine, Vard, Stork, and Grossmann cycling paths each offer unique experiences and views of the Prlekija plains, vineyards, and hills.
An added value of our business idea is the care for children. In the morning, children and young people can actively spend time on the estate. They get to know the life of bees, explore the forest, visit the garden and pick berries, bake bread, play, and take care of the animals on the estate.
In the upcoming season, various themed evenings will be available to guests, taking place in a common gathering area. We will make candles from beeswax, learn about the world of bees, taste different kinds of honey and pollen… The evenings will also be filled with music, culture, and social events. We will host musical guests, folk artists, and songwriters, and we will present the geographical and cultural landmarks of Prlekija, organize sleeping under the grapevines, seasonal picnics, and more.
One of the activities also includes the possibility of visiting the Beekeeping Museum. Through their stay on the estate, we want to raise awareness among guests about the quality of rest and life in general, reminding them of the respect and responsibility towards the natural, cultural, and social environment.

We want to introduce Slovenia to foreigners as a healthy country, a country of friendly people, and above all, as a country known worldwide for its beekeepers with rich apiculture and centuries-old beekeeping practices. We believe in the philosophy of this relatively new branch of tourism, which is based on respecting natural laws – the functioning and importance of bees can be mirrored in the functioning and importance of
humans.
We firmly believe in our vision. Firstly, because apitourism itself represents the most important aspect of the green economy. It promotes the economic viability of beekeeping and strives for the development of sustainable tourism connected to the tradition of apiculture.
Secondly, Slovenia was the first country in the world to develop apitourism as an innovative tourism product. However, there is still very little apitourism in Slovenia today. According to experts, apitourism could become a significant flagship of Slovenian tourism.
With joy and pride, we invite you to experience the unique experience on our estate, where we have created the luxury of coexisting with nature with heartfelt energy and love.
