It’s morning. My eyes are still closed. I hear the healing silence, accompanied by the pure sounds of NATURE. Invisible, the bees’ aerosols fill the air in the cabin where we sleep, becoming part of our living space. I hear their gentle buzzing, breathing in the dispersed aerosols that quietly heal us throughout our stay here.
Our children are already awake. They’re exploring the Kr’bee estate with Leona, discovering the secret corners of the forest, gathering herbs from the blooming meadow, feeding Rozi and Pika, and running after the little goats and sheep. Through spontaneous play and laughter, they connect with nature in its purest form. I’m not worried about them being bored. Their laughter, heard from a distance, reassures me that they are experiencing something truly joyful. When I finally get up, I see them through the large window, dressed in protective suits, heading to the beehives to explore the world of bees. Tomorrow, they’ll be baking bread, which we’ll take home in the evening…
And us? My love and I have the whole morning to ourselves. Yesterday, we cycled through the landscape between Slovenske gorice and the Mura River. One word to describe Prlekija: magical. Today, we’re going to the Bio Spa. We’ll walk there, passing by the Apitherapy Beehive, where Uroš proudly tells us about the world of bees, nature, and everything he believes in and lives for.
Late in the afternoon, we sample the flavors of Uroš’s honey and sip Leona’s herbal tea. As music plays in the background, the day slowly turns into evening.
When we return to the cabins, we’re not interested in what’s happening in the world or the day’s sports results. As if we don’t need it at all. From the shelves in the cabins, we pull out board games, and that’s enough for us. The gentle buzzing of our co-inhabitants lulls us into peace. The children, calm and content, fall asleep, and we…
How strange. Everything here soothes, brings us closer, fills us with joy, and truly rejuvenates us.
I could stay here forever.
